What it means to be in our Teacher Strategy Group

We’re looking for 4-6 senior ASN leads, Depute Headteachers and Principal Teachers of Pupil Support/Guidance to join our Teacher Strategy Group (TSG). This group will play a crucial role in shaping our product to work brilliantly for Scottish ASN admin.

As a TSG member, you’ll help us build something that genuinely makes your job easier by providing regular feedback, testing new features, and guiding our product development based on real classroom experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Monthly strategy meetings where we’ll gather your feedback on how the product is performing and get your guidance on what we should focus on next.
  • Early access to new features so you can test them before anyone else and help us get them right before wider release.
  • Usability testing sessions every 4-6 weeks where you’ll try out specific tasks and tell us what works well and what doesn’t. These will mostly be remote, but we’d also love to visit you in-person from time to time (if you’ll have us)!
  • Ongoing feedback through quick surveys, in-app feedback, and letting us know about any issues or ideas for improvements as you use the product.

What we’re looking for

We want to make sure our TSG represents the diversity of Scottish education:

  • Different types of schools – primary, secondary, special provision
  • Different geographies across Scotland
  • Different demographics and community contexts
  • Senior experience in ASN, pupil support, or school leadership

What’s in it for you

Beyond helping shape a product that could transform ASN admin, TSG members will:

  • Get first access to all new features and updates
  • Have direct input into product development priorities
  • Participate in research that measures improvements in time spent on admin tasks and be the first to know the outcomes of Trellis
  • Make a name for yourself and your school as being sector-leading in innovation for ASN and teacher admin workloads

The commitment

  • Monthly meetings (around 1 hour, can be online)
  • Testing sessions every 4-6 weeks (30-45 minutes)
  • Quick feedback as you use the product in your daily work
  • Initial survey to establish baseline measurements

Why this matters

Your expertise and feedback will directly influence how we build features, what we prioritise, and how we make the product work seamlessly with your existing processes. Without practitioner input from experienced professionals like you, we can’t create something that genuinely improves your working life.

We really appreciate your consideration – being part of our Teacher Strategy Group means you’re helping create something that could make a real difference to ASN support across Scotland!
